Authors intending to submit manuscripts to the AKSU Journal of Engineering and Technology (AKSUJET) are advised to carefully read this section before preparing or submitting their work. The following guidelines provide detailed instructions regarding manuscript format, ethical requirements, and the submission process. Compliance with these instructions ensures a smooth review and publication experience.
All manuscripts should present original, high-quality research that has not been published previously or simultaneously submitted to another journal. Papers should contribute substantially to knowledge and demonstrate sound methodology, clarity, and relevance to engineering and technology.
Research involving human subjects must comply with the World Medical Association’s Declaration of Helsinki and other applicable ethical standards. Ethical approval from an accredited institutional review committee must be stated within the manuscript.
Studies involving animals must follow recognized animal welfare laws and ethical frameworks such as:
The Animal Welfare Act
The European Union Directive on the Protection of Animals Used for Scientific Purposes
ARRIVE or ARRP guidelines
Authors must confirm adherence to these ethical principles in their methodology section.
Manuscripts must present a complete, transparent, and accurate account of research design, execution, data collection, and findings. Proper referencing and acknowledgment of all sources are required. Any potential sources of bias or limitations must be disclosed clearly.
While the exact structure may depend on the article type, AKSUJET generally recommends the IMRAD format (Introduction, Materials and Methods, Results, and Discussion), along with additional sections as appropriate.
The title should be concise, descriptive, and reflect the main theme of the paper.
Provide full names of all authors (first, middle, and last names).
Indicate author affiliations (department, institution, and country).
Include valid contact details: email addresses and phone numbers.
The abstract should summarize the study’s purpose, methods, key results, and major conclusions in fewer than 300 words. It may be presented in a structured or unstructured format.
Provide up to 10 keywords that represent the main focus areas of the research.
Abbreviations should be limited to non-standard, lengthy terms and defined upon first use.
The introduction should clearly present the background, problem statement, objectives, and significance of the study. It should provide sufficient context for understanding the research purpose and novelty.
Describe experimental design, materials, procedures, and analytical methods in detail to ensure reproducibility. Where applicable, specify instruments, software, or statistical tools used.
Results should be presented systematically using tables, graphs, or figures, with concise interpretation. The discussion should highlight the meaning, implications, and relevance of the findings, relating them to previous studies. Results and discussion may be combined or presented separately depending on the nature of the study.
Provide a brief, logical summary of the major findings and their broader implications.
Recognize individuals, organizations, and funding bodies that contributed to the work but do not meet authorship criteria. Acknowledgments should be concise.
Authors must include a clear statement disclosing any financial or personal relationships that may have influenced the research outcomes.
References should appear alphabetically at the end of the manuscript. Each citation must be complete, accurate, and—where available—include DOI or web links.
Preferred citation style: APA 7th Edition.

Use clear and descriptive titles.
Number tables and figures consecutively in the order of appearance.
Identify measurement units within tables or captions.
Use standard formats such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, TIFF, JPEG, or GIF.
Ensure all visuals are cited in the text and of sufficient quality for online publication.
Before submission, authors must proofread their manuscripts for grammatical, typographical, and formatting errors. Upon acceptance, proofs will be sent to the corresponding author for final verification. Only minor corrections are permitted at this stage.
Manuscripts should be submitted via the online portal or directly to the editorial office email. Authors must include all required documents and ensure compliance with the journal’s ethical and formatting standards.
Once a manuscript has been reviewed and approved by the editorial board, an Acceptance Certificate will be issued. Accepted papers proceed to layout and publication in the next available issue of the journal.
Authors will be notified once their articles are live on the journal’s website and indexed in the relevant issue.
